Marblehead Choral Music

Luminescence is the only all-female, faculty-directed group at MHS. It is one of two a cappella groups acting as subsections of Chamber Choir. Established in 2005, the group has performed a variety of genres from every decade, always featuring powerful female leads. Luminescence has participated in many competitions, including ICHSA and New England Voices. Over the years, the group has partaken in other exciting endeavors, such as performing at Governor Baker's Inaugural Ball. Luminescence placed 3rd in the 2016 ICHSA Northeast semifinal. Prospective members must successfully audition to get into the group.
